Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 7th, 2026
Last Updated: August 18th, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Hill Meat Company (“Hill Meat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit www.hillmeat.com (the “Site”). It also explains the choices and rights you have, including rights available to California residents. The Site is informational. We do not sell products through the Site, we do not offer public user accounts, and we do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking technologies. We collect only the limited information described below.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information you provide to us

  • Contact form (“Drop Us a Swine”): your name, email address, subject, and the contents of your message.
  • Job and driver applications: identifiers and professional or employment-related information you choose to submit, such as name, contact details, employment history, qualifications, driver’s license information (driver applications), and any other information you include.
  • Your IP Address on submission.

B. Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records limited technical information when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and date/time of access. We use this information only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site
  • Cookies: the Site uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function and to remember your preferences (for example, your cookie-banner choice). We do not use analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking cookies. See Section 6 (Cookies) below.

C. Information collected by the third-party product locator

Our “Find Our Products” page includes a product locator operated by Destini Solutions (the “Locator”). When you use the Locator, the vendor — not Hill Meat — collects the ZIP code or city you enter and, if you grant permission in your browser, your device’s approximate geolocation, together with technical information such as IP address and device identifiers, and may set its own cookies. The vendor uses this information to return nearby store results and for its own service operation as described in its privacy policy: https://www.spins.com/privacy/. We do not receive personal information about you from the Locator. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the Site is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Respond to your inquiries and correspondence;
  • Receive, evaluate, and process employment applications;
  • Remember your preferences, including your cookie-banner selection;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not build profiles about you.

4. How We Disclose Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined under California law). We disclose personal information only:

  • To service providers that perform services for us — such as our website hosting provider, form-processing tools, email provider, and the Locator vendor — under obligations to use the information only to provide services to us;
  • For legal reasons, if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hill Meat, our users, or others;
  • In a business transfer, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business; and
  • With your direction or consent.

5. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, and then delete or de-identify it. As a general guide: contact-form submissions are retained for up to 24 months after we resolve your inquiry; employment and driver applications are retained for; and server logs are retained for 1 month. We may retain information longer where required by law or to resolve disputes.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses the following categories of cookies: • Strictly necessary cookies set by the Site to enable core functionality, security, and fraud prevention. These cannot be switched off in our systems. • Preference cookies that remember choices you make, such as your cookie-banner selection. • Third-party cookies set by the Locator vendor on the “Find Our Products” page, used by the vendor to operate the locator service. You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings; if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site may not function. Because we do not track visitors over time or across third-party websites for advertising, and do not permit third parties to do so through our Site for their own purposes , the Site does not respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including TLS encryption for data submitted through Site forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your unencrypted personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by applicable law, including California Civil Code § 1798.82.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date, and material changes will be indicated by reasonable means (for example, a notice on the Site). Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
