Difficulty Beginner
Time
Prep Time: 15 min Cook Time: 75 min Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins
Ingredients
  • 6-8 pounds Hill’s Bone-In Spiral Sliced Ham
  • 1 Package of Hill’s ham glaze
  • 1 cup Ginger ale
  • 1 cup Maple syrup
  • 1 cup Pineapple juice
  • 1 (10oz) jar Maraschino cherries
  • 1 (20oz) can Pineapple slices, drained
  • 30 (ish) Toothpicks
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 300° F.
  2. Remove all but one rack in the oven, and place that in the lowest position to ensure room for the ham
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the ginger ale, maple syrup, pineapple juice, Hill’s ham glaze packet, and 1/2 cup of maraschino cherry juice until combined.
  4. Pour the mixture on top of the ham, separating the slices slightly so the liquid gets in the ham as well as on top.
  5. Place the pineapple slices on top of the ham. Use the toothpicks to secure the pineapples into the ham. Place a maraschino cherry inside each pineapple slice and secure it using a toothpick.
  6. Cover the ham with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes per pound or until a meat thermometer inserted into the meat reads 140°F.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest 10-15 min. before serving.
