Description
Hill Meat bacon topping and cheese, wrapped in a golden flaky puff pastry, make the most amazing savoury turnover, especially when served with our homemade honey mustard sauce!
INGREDIENTS
13.2 ounces already rolled puff pastry
1 1/2 cup cooked Hill Meat Bacon Topping
6 slices of cheese
1 egg (beaten)
Everything bagel seasoning
For the Honey Mustard Sauce
2 tablespoons Honey
2 tablespoons Wholegrain mustard
2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
1/2 - 1 teaspoon White wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400F. On a floured surface roll out the ready-rolled puff pastry. Then cut into 6 equal size squares. sprinkle the cooked bacon topping evenly in the middle of all 6 puff pastry squares, top with a slice of cheese.
Step 2
Bring one corner of the puff pastry over and brush the tip of it with a beaten egg, then fold the opposite corner, so it overlaps, press down with a fork to seal. Arrange on a parchment lined baking sheet 2 inches apart, brush the top of the pastries with a beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
Step 3
While the turnovers are baking, prepare the honey mustard sauce by mixing the honey, mustard, mayonnaise and white wine vinegar in small bowl. Serve with the turnovers.
